I am doing an advent devotional and this is part of a passage I just read…
Psalms 90:14-17
Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love,
that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us,
and for as many years as we have seen evil.
Let your work be shown to your servants,
and your glorious power to their children.
Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us,
and establish the work of our hands upon us;
yes, establish the work of our hands!
Verse 14 struck me. If I start my day satisfied in God’s steadfast love, I am filled with joy. Its not just reading God’s word, it is digesting it. Thinking on it, dwelling on it, making it a part of who I am. when I truly remember ALL that He has done for me, I am truly blessed!. I will definitely will be experiencing the JOY of the Lord!
God will one day reveal ALL that He has been doing. One day, we ALL will stand before Our Creator! Will you be ready? Have you been saved for eternity?
We are all sinners. The penalty for our sin is death. But God gave us a free gift – the life of His only Son to take our punishment. Jesus died on the cross for our sins. He took our place. God wants a relationship with us.
You just need to accept (believe) that Jesus died for Your sins. Thank Him today for this wonderful gift (forgiving your sins). Then turn away from Your sins and follow Him!
