Everything can be up in the air? he said, she said? Which politician, political party? etc who can we trust?
Psalms 25:1-5
To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul.
O my God, in you I trust;
let me not be put to shame;
let not my enemies exult over me.
Indeed, none who wait for you shall be put to shame;
they shall be ashamed who are wantonly treacherous.
Make me to know your ways, O Lord;
teach me your paths.
Lead me in your truth and teach me,
for you are the God of my salvation;
for you I wait all the day long.
This is a wonderful passage on who we can trust & rest in. If we lift up our soul (our emotions, anxieties…) to God, we will find Him there. We can trust in Him! He will not ignore us.
But we must know Him. Do you know God’s ways? Do you read His word? How often? In verse 4, David is asking God to help him to know God’s ways. We need a desire to know God. To know ALL about Him! To seek His word & not just read it, but to understand it. To follow it….
In verse 5, David is asking God to lead him in His truth. We can trust in God! His Word never changes! God will help you to understand His word. He will teach us. Because… He is the God of our salvation. He wants to save us.
Save us from what?
Our sins. We are all sinners, we All do bad things, even if not intentional. But God is holy, perfect, sinless. Our Creator says that the punishment for our disobedience is death. But God is a merciful judge, he offers each of us a way to escape this punishment. He sent His only son, Jesus, to die on the cross for our sins. Jesus paid the price, He took our punishment.
what must I do?
You need to believe, to trust that Jesus took your sins. That He took your punishment. You must turn away from your sins & follow God. He wants a relationship with you. He wants you to be His child. He wants to spend eternity (forever) with you.
Accept Jesus today. Pray for God to forgive your sins, by Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross for your sins. Now you must turn away from your sins and follow God. Please share this great news with others around you… I am praying for you.
