Psalm 3:1-4
1 O Lord, how many are my foes!
Many are rising against me;
2 many are saying of my soul,
“There is no salvation for him in God.” Selah3 But you, O Lord, are a shield about me,
my glory, and the lifter of my head.
4 I cried aloud to the Lord,
and he answered me from his holy hill. Selah
I am so thankful for the Psalms! David had a way with words – describing how we all can feel at times.
Sometimes it just feels like the enemies are surrounding us. In can feel like a never ending battle. But we need to remember this promise – God IS with us! He is our Shield! He is our glory! He is the lifter of our head! …. What does some of this mean? Well one thing I know for sure – He will protect us! He is there to guide us! He LOVES us!
I love the 4th verse – “I cried to the Lord, and He answered me”. God IS faithful! He will answer us!
