In the scrapbooking world, we talk a lot about leaving a legacy with our layouts to future generations…. What type of legacy are you building???
Today, I started reading 1 Corinthians (chapter 1). I found several verses that stuck out to me….
18For the Word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. … 20 Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? … 25For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. … 30And because of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, ….
As a Mom of many blessings and a homeschool teacher, I think a lot about what I teach my family…. How does it stand up to God’s Word??? That is the main question I should be asking myself….
Like many of you, I am sure you are thinking about the shortness of our lives (especially with all the deaths recently due to all of the natural disasters that have been happening all over our world…. If it had been us or one of our loved ones (or maybe it has been), what type of legacy did you leave / are you leaving? Do your loved ones know about Jesus’ death on the cross for their sins??? Are we teaching these truths to our children??? Or are we just letting them learn from the world??? We all may need to think again about what we are teaching….
Today be sure to hug a loved one and tell them (or remind them) that Jesus died on the cross for their sins – that He loves them so much…. of things that really count….
