“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” -Galatians 6:2
How are we helping each other? Are we a burden or a burden-lifter? Do we encourage those around us? My heart is heavy today, as I learn of more persecution of Christians – but on our home-front…. It is so sad to see things go this way…. but I think that it also points to the above – are we failing each other.
Jesus said, “Love the Lord your GOD with all your heart, with all your mind, with all your strength….” He also spoke of “Loving your neighbor as yourself”. Are we reflecting God’s love? Are we spreading HIS LOVE? Jesus commanded that we go throughout the earth (even right where you are) and make disciples…. That means spreading the GOSPEL = GOOD NEWS. Jesus died on the cross for our sins, according to the gospel, and that He was buried and rose again on the 3rd day, according to the Scriptures…
Do you know these truths? Have you accepted the sacrifice that Christ made for you on the cross? If so, are you spreading this GREAT news? There are many hurting people out there, they need to know the truth – that Christ died for their sins. He took the penalty for their sins….
