I am going to do a walk thru Psalm 119….
Psalm 119: 1-8
1 Blessed are those whose way is blameless,
who walk in the law of the Lord!
2 Blessed are those who keep his testimonies,
who seek him with their whole heart,
3 who also do no wrong,
but walk in his ways!
4 You have commanded your precepts
to be kept diligently.
5 Oh that my ways may be steadfast
in keeping your statutes!
6 Then I shall not be put to shame,
having my eyes fixed on all your commandments.
7 I will praise you with an upright heart,
when I learn your righteous rules.b]
8 I will keep your statutes;
do not utterly forsake me!
Are you walking with the Lord? Do you know Jesus as your Savior and Lord? We are made new, blameless, when we believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the 3rd day! We will then be forgiven.
Do you seek God’s Word with your whole heart? Are you excited to read God’s Word? Do you seek after God? God is seeking after you – He wants you to follow Him!
Do you walk in God’s ways? Do you follow what the Bible teaches? The Bible is God’s Holy Word! It is a living Word – it is Jesus! His ways are good!
Do you keep in God’s ways? Do you live right? Are we striving to become more like Christ? He loved us so much, that He died for us. Do we love others like He did? Are we sharing this good news?
Are we humbled before God? Are we praying for His strength and power to live this life? Are we asking for His help to live a holy life? He will give us the power and strength to walk with Him!
Do we fix our eyes on God’s Word? Do you read it every day? Do you have Scripture on your walls? Do you think about God’s Word? We need to remember to focus on God and His Word all of the time!
Do we give God praise? Do we worship Him for everything around us? His creation? His Son? His Word? Everything He has given to us? We can truly do this when we are following Him!
Do we keep God’s law? Jesus summed up the law…. Love God with all our heart, soul, mind & stremgth and Love our neighbor as ourself. If we follow these rules, our life will be joyful! We will be at peace with others! When we choose to follow God – He will never leave us nor forsake us!!!
What a wonderful loving God we have!!! His rules are not there to be a burden to us, but to release us from the bondage of sin! But first, we must accept the sacrifice that Jesus paid – for our sins on the cross!
