Be Still

For the past 6 months, God has been speaking to me about “Being still”. It has been so many times in His Word that I have seen the concept of being still, waiting on the Lord etc. It has really had me thinking about how busy my life is and how I can be still. Many things, like family members in the hospital etc – that I can’t be still. But I know that He wanted me to “be still” in the other things in my life. I know that without His guidance, I would not have been able to handle the craziness of the past 6 months. I even found these words, that God wants for us with dealing with our homeschool.

Psalm 46:10Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”

Psalm 37:7 Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!

Psalm 131:2 But I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me.

Psalm 27:14 Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!

I pray that some of these verses are encouraging to you. That you can take some time and think on what God has for you – even in the busyness!

  1. Thank you for posting God’s word. I needed to read Psalm 37:7! It sure is frustrating to watch someone prosper from doing evil things while you struggle to get by.
