Interesting title for this post… But as I write I am struck at how this word Ambassadors describes who we are and what we should be doing as Christians…
Last week, as I was reading Isaiah 50, I was struck by the powerful message of a few verses…
The lord God has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with a word him who is weary. But the Lord god helps me, therefore I have not been disgraced… Let him who walks in darkness and has no light trust in the name of the Lord and rely on his God. Isaiah 50:4, 7, 10
I think about all the blog posts that I have written, etc and how the words start flowing, how God has given me the ability to express myself. It is not my ability and strength that I do these things. I was extremely shy as a child – I am totally amazed at how different I am – and only through the power of God.
I am also so thankful that I am able to help others with a word. I can only do this as I respond to the Holy Spirits nudging me to do this. I still remember the first time I responded to His nudging and how I was able to encourage another person. To know that God will give you the words and the strength is so amazing!!!
This last Sunday we were also reminded of our purpose, why we are here.
In Colossians 1 we read…
28 Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. 29 For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that He powerfully works within me.
We have the responsibility to share the gospel with those around us – whether it is to lead them to a saving knowledge that Jesus died on the cross for your sins and rose again the third day; or as a means of encouraging fellow believers in the promises that God has given us. We have a perfect hope that looks forward to the second coming of Christ.
Let us work together to “present everyone mature in Christ”!!!

Pretty insightful post. Never thought that it was this simple after all. I had spent a good deal of my time looking for someone to explain this subject clearly and you’re the only one that ever did that. Kudos to you! Keep it up
