Today, as I was reading Isaiah 26, I was struck by these verses on peace….
3You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. 4Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD GOD is an everlasting rock. 12O LORD, you will ordain peace for us, for you have indeed done for us all our works. Isaiah 26: 3-4, 12
As we go through things that are trying, do we have God’s perfect peace??? Or are we fretting and worrying about all that is happening to us or a loved one???
I have news for you – we can have perfect peace – all we need to do is keep our minds on God and TRUST HIM to take care of everything that is happening. I know that at times when I have been stressful, I have turned on Christian music – specifically Praise & Worship. It does not take long, and I am praising God for WHO He is and WHAT He can do. My problems turn really small in HIS big hands…. How can we but trust GOD who says HE will take care of us???
4Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD GOD is an everlasting rock. How can we fail – when we have the Everlasting Rock on our side? HE is our sure foundation – it will NOT crack or shift – it is forever!!!
12O LORD, you will ordain peace for us, for you have indeed done for us all our works. Wow! His promises are here for us – NOW. We can have His perfect peace – GOD is in control! He knows ALL that we are going through! He is everlasting!!! He is our GOD!!!
As we go through life, we will have many trials. We will experience things that “rock our boat”. How will you get through it??? Will you lean on the Everlasting Rock and let Him take care of everything???
I pray that you can trust God and can live in HIS perfect peace!!!
